The Difference . . .

Lucy weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long while David weighed 8 lbs 12 oz and was 21 1/12 inches long. That's right, more than a pound bigger and I certainly felt the difference between my two pregnancies.

I just had to post the comparison of them in the same car seat:

You can tell they're related! It's amazing the difference a pound makes!

I was 6 lbs 10 oz and my little brother was 9 lbs something. Later my mom read somewhere that if the 2nd is more than a pound bigger than the 1st it is like having the first all over again. Yikes. I guess that is one reason to be grateful for c-sections. Abby was 8 lbs 4 oz with a big head. Less than an hour after delivery the nurse was chatting with me and told me they usually tend to get bigger. I was like, "Thanks, just what I want to hear right now!" Anyway...congrats on your healthy and hardy baby boy!
