First snow fall of the season

With the weather we've been having lately, it's hard to think we had such a great storm not too long ago. The snow was heavy and Marc spent the morning running around with his chainsaw helping neighbors cut down branches that were falling off roofs and windows (he was in heaven).

I spent the morning watching the excitement on all of these little ones' faces (I was in heaven).

David loved his new snow boots.

Such beautiful discovery. I just sat back and watched them try to figure it all out.

Vivian had a love/hate relationship with the snow. She would walk into it with pure excitement and joy, then she would get stuck and look at me with fear and frustration.

Our darling snowman that several neighbor kids helped to build.

Examining our fine work. yes, Vivian doesn't have on pants, they got wet, she wanted them off, she still wanted to see the snowman . . .

Then we had just about every kid in the neighborhood over to sled on the hill in our backyard. It was a blast! That hill is the perfect size for these little ones.

Lucy and her friend. The girls naturally went down together and the boys went down with each other too. Interesting?

Lucy being such a good big sister to Vivi. Happy snow!
